BIO
Quantreau is a DJ and producer based in Brooklyn and co-founder of the emerging dance label known as Fortune Signal. He has moved audiences for over a decade with a style that effortlessly straddles deep and soulful to ravey, broken beat, and bass-heavy. As a DJ, Quantreau’s sets are a conversation with the dancers, drawing on his 15 years as an observer, participator, producer, and selector of underground dance music.
The up-and-comer has gained a following in NYC with floor-melting performances across vaunted local venues, including Elsewhere, Jupiter Disco, Mansions, TBA, Café Balearica, and on The Lot Radio with his Fortune Signal label-mates.
He prefers not to be pigeonholed into a particular genre and crafts sets to open listeners to the new and unexpected. His infectious energy can draw even the most staunch trainspotters onto the floor. As a co-founder of Fortune Signal, he has helped to release music from artists such as DJ Burrito Boy, Akumen, Panooc, and Kyle Louis.
